New Farm Montessori was founded by Mandy Lehinger and Jeffrey Holbrook in the Arbor Lodge neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, in 2005.
Mandy is an AMI trained primary guide. She studied at the Montessori Institute Northwest and holds a Masters of Education in Montessori Education from Loyola University in Maryland. Her undergraduate degree is in Drama and Dance from The Colorado College. She brings her love for theatre, literature and music to her work with children.
Jeffrey holds a degree in cultural anthropology from the University of California San Diego. He enjoys traveling, surfing and camping. Master of many trades, he shares his love of cooking, gardening and woodworking with the children. He also takes guitar and ukulele requests for our daily dance breaks.
